Where is Gunma Prefecture of Japan? It is in the northern direction from Tokyo.

Tomioka Silk Mill

Tomioka Silk Mill is registered as the World Heritage. It was established and was run by Japanese government in 1872. It played a model mill to mass produce silk threads. Japan was the rank number 1 of silk threads export in the world in 1909.

Japanese government imported a facility from France and invited a french advisor for the operation of the silk mill.
